Dear Martin,
I already have an issue my mic is not picked up by WSR, it
is picked up in the audio devices and level is set to max and it
works fine with> DNS. But WSR no dice. I have shut down and
restarted the computer twice. I have connected and disconnected
the microphone. I have shut down and restarted without WSR
being automatically enabled on start-up. nothing has helped.
My microphone is a Sennheiser ME3 and Buddy USB 6G. and
It's a relatively high-quality setup, and asI say has worked
perfectly with Dragon NaturallySpeaking for years. Do you have
any ideas about how I can get WSR to work?
Austin,
Go into Recording devices. Right click on and disable all other
soundcards except the Buddy USB. Try rebooting with the Buddy
still inserted. Confirm the the Buddy is the only sound recording
device and try running the Setup my microphone.
Martin,
Disabling the other soundcards did the trick! I did not even have to reboot.
I did not even consider this as an option since Dragon NaturallySpeaking
has never had a problem identifying the correct soundcard.
I am indebted to you for it your excellent help and support. Thanks a million.

Are you drunk, Richard?
Does Mark aka John not associate his illogical postings against what
"he" considers SPAM the cause of the demise of this User Group? If
not, did you notice the two latest real SPAMs having nothing to do
with Speech Recognition.

1. Nike Dunk for Kids and womens, $50 save 75% off, www.kicksbrand.com
2. listed the keywords of most shoes, those are all keywords that
people often use, www.kicksbrand.com

If you Mark (aka John) prefer that SPAM to useful and informational
links then you have won your cause to be a Usenet Group destroyer. If
you do not like the "commercial links" relevant to Speech Recognition
you need not follow them. Over the last 11 years on the Internet
thousands of people were helped by links such as "Key Steps to High
Speech Recognition Accuracy" at:
https://www.emicrophones.com/docdetails.asp?documentid=38
as well as links to microphones that are important to professionals
who make their living by dictating to the computer. I know you are
just a dabbler at Speech Recogntion and have difficulty understanding
this. It is my hope you will contribute in a civil manner.

Not really. I have a feeling the demise of some USENET groups has
been caused by a downturn in our United States economy.

Maritn Markoe... a well of ignorance. In fact I keep an archive of
non-regular commercial spammers in the group (free.spam).

As this group's history makes very clear, the USENET is not for
selling products. Here are some examples of why spam is not
tolerated on USENET, with Maritn Markoe as the main spammer.
