I agree with the general sentiment, but:
1/ "shut up" and "free speech" don't go well side by side
2/ the (US, I assume) constitution has little relevance to a worldwide
medium as is Usenet

Like when a spammer threatens legal action and hires a private
investigator (Kelmar & Associates) to attack the character of his
adversaries. The only difference is I haven't been intimidated like
the others were.

Don't worry about translation. I may not speak English very well, but I
can manage to understand it well enough to spot an ad-hominem attack and
recognize underlying xenophobia.

Yes, the "death" of ViaVoice was unpleasant to us, but I fail to see how
it relates to your little war with Marty.

You were disturbed by my stern criticism of ViaVoice, Hubert Crépy.

It's not just my war with Marty, it's the disruptive anti-productive
war that erupts between Marty and his competition here (when this
group is active). This group like the vast majority of USENET groups
is not for advertising. This is not a forum for advertising or
competition among vendors.

There is an overtone of xenophobia in your response. As you well know,
the Internet is world wide and not limited to one country.

Apparently you are the only person who deems links to products and
websites as SPAM. You do this yourself, see the bottom of your post

You do this yourself,
We have been through all this many times before, Martin Markoe. Over
and over and over again, you forever play dumb. Doesn't matter what
the issue or how well it has been resolved, Martin Markoe remembers
and understands nothing except that which helps sell his products.

Regular USENET users do not post links to commercial websites except
occasionally when replying to a legitimate poster (as opposed to a
spammer's accomplice) who is requesting information about buying
something.

We avoid posting links to commercial websites. As I have pointed out
countless times before, an exception is if those links are confined
to a proper USENET signature of four lines or less. That's
acceptable, but even that is not common.

Those are universally accepted practices here on USENET, and this
group's history (see the message IDs and hyperlinks above) provides
a shining example of why spam is prohibited here. You are not
helping anyone when your answers are designed to sell something.

Let me get this straight, giving good information (an offshoot of good

perfectly OK? Am I missing something here Mr. Bender?

Hmm??? You accuse me of SPAM because I provide links to information
and products. Yet your sense of rules and propriety on the Internet
does not extend to foul language. You are working on a double standard
not even you can live up to.
